Hi everyone.
I wonder if I am misso\ing something....., I followed the instructions, flashed 3 different raq4 with the recommended ROM image, restored the raqcop.vmdk file to 2 different 20 GB disk, and I always get the same result:
After setting the raq to boot from HDA4, I follow the loading process thur the serial console with a terminal program.
I see a lot of errors in the boot process, until it stops in a prompt like this:
LCD is not present
INIT: Entering runlevel: 3

IPCop v1.4.18 - The Bad Packets Stop Here
raqcop.local login:

The LCD keeps showing "Booting...." and I have clue of wich is the root password to get in the system, becuase I never was asked to enter it during the install....
I got The same result with 3 different  raq4's and two different 20 GB disk.
Maybe there is something else missing...., could anyone throw me a rope???
thanks!

You wouldn't have been able to set a password unless you made your own install using VMWare and the iso image rather than the vmdk image. I have the default passwords written down in the text files that are in the vmware install directory. What you are really saying is that your lcd doesn't work which is understandable, I can make another 1.4.18 and upload it. If you can reach a login prompt, then it is working. There are things in /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit that will show harmless errors in the boot process since it looks for a tty to set up console fonts but on a headless device such as this, there aren't any tty's that need to be set up.
