You didn't mention whether or not you flashed the rom with 2.10.3-ext3. From what you saw, it doesn't sound like it. Let us know if you flashed it yet.

Generally, if you see Cobalt Networks rather than Sun Cobalt, it's an old rom that will not be able to read the ext3 filesystems of hda1 and hda4 which is necessary to boot the os. The old rom is also 2.2 kernel based.

I've had that happen before. When it does I just reset the rom by holding the E button while booting, do not take your eyes off the lcd while doing this, you'll see a cmos restored or something to that effect albeit briefly. Then try to set the boot at hda4.

Hi,

thanks for your answer, i've tried the reset like you explain to me. But it's the same, it works only one time. It's not a real problem because i don't need to reboot the raq frequently!!!
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! MY RAQ IS ALIVE ;-)

That is still a pain. I had a Qube that did that with the original rom but once I reset it a few times and flashed it to 2.10.3 it no longer did that.

As far as not having to reboot often, I finally got a UPS to plug my raq into because I live in a weather convergence zone and often enough I get mini outages only lasting seconds. Also this townhome complex has strange power fluctuations that have been present since they built it. The residents jokingly call the fluctuations Martian activity. At the very least all electronic equipment goes through surge protectors.
