Hi again,

My PSU fan makes a lot of noise and seems close to death. Can it also be replaced with the Sunon-fans available here?

Yes, both power supply and cpu fans are the same. Sunon came up with a second model recently ( I think it is more recent than the 1-8) that has the 6.5cfm of the original rather than 7.0. When Brian set up the store, the 7cfm fans were the closest thing available to the originals but slightly more airflow at the cost of 2000 more rpm and more noise. The second newer one is 6.5cfm, runs 2000 rpm slower, is slightly quieter and draws 0.5 amps.

Brian has the connectors and proper tools to make them ready to plug in. I'll see if he will get and prep a batch of 6.5cfm ones. I certainly want these myself. The new one is GM1235PFV2-8.GN. At least I believe it is a new model as I had not seen it available until recently.

OK! Fans are for sale on ebay, but as always there are drawbacks with ebay it seems. Well, as soon as you have information on more silent fans, please let me know! I need 4. The less noisier, the better.

I talked to Brian, as soon as we are able to get the quieter ones to him he'll terminate a batch. They come with nothing but tinned leads from Sunon so Brian terminates them with the proper tools before selling. I'll keep you posted. Meanwhile some on Ebay are fine. Some Cobalt parts sellers have the old 6.5cfm fans back when they were not Rohs compliant and these are fine for now if still available. Usually the power supply one goes first in the Raq3 and 4.

OK, thank you. I will buy from you unless customs becomes a problem.
