Hello,
I want to start to compile some software addon (just for play) for my RaQCop but after reading the docs of ipCop and the forums I don't understand something. Maybe is for my little linux experience.

Does I need a linux with a 2.4 kernel to compile or one of the lasts distributions will do the job?

And, I need the ipCop sources installed in my development machine (or virtual machine)?

Thank you,
Alberto.

You can either use the Raqcop-dev version on a cobalt machine (you'll find this one in the download area "extras - developer_version") or you use the ipcop-dev 1.4.20 on a seperate machine or VM ( -> http://www.ipcop-forum.de/forum/viewtopic.php?p=183566#p183566)

btw: Lots of binaries already exist for ipcop and will run also on raqcop. -> http://www.ipadd.de/binary.html

Thank you. I'll take a look to 1.4.20 version cd. And yes, there is a lot of addond precompiled but I can't find a reverse proxy. Everybody at forums says reverse proxy is not a good idea in the firewall.

I want to compile and run Pound and if Pound runs well I will try to make a GUI modification for it.
