I woke up on Tuesday and found my RaqCOP (raq4r) was rebooting about every 5 minutes I  thought it overheating or something.  when i took  off the lid i found a very nasty surprise most of the caps had blone.  I hope my new raq4 arrives very soon i don't like using my DSL modem as my firewall router.

Pretty obvious. Bulging caps is one of the things to look for on a new (used) Raq. How are your soldering skills? Caps are a whole lot easier to replace than the flashrom. Even changing clocking and voltage is much more difficult than the caps (I think as I have only done the clocking and voltage change on a few raqs).

Yes I agree with not using the modem's built in stuff.

Others: One additional 4i for development left stock and two Symantec Velociraptor 500's with the 550mhz low voltage processor mod. Raq550, Two Raq XTR units
