I'm the same Dave who patches and compiles raqcop.

I received a Raq 550 that has the 1.2ghz P3 option. My only gripe is the fans are much louder than a Gen III. It looks as if the LCD unit is parallel connected like all the gen III units. I think only the XTR is unique as far as LCD connection, yes I have a few of those too. I just took a snapshot of the innards. This one is truly ATX and the lit "C "oval is a power button. When you shut it down, it shuts down. Not sure if I like that though unless there is a way to have it reboot after a power outage. I'll get some builds going and upload them. I may be able to get away with having gen III AND gen V cobalt code in the same kernel. It may have a bit of overhead but we'll see. These units can tolerate a 1.8MB bzipped kernel and even the 2.6 kernel in 2.0svn after stripping and compressing is 1.2MB.
