I upgraded my 1.4.18 to 1.4.21 and after doing some plugin reinstalls to bring the menus back I need to reboot Raqcop and not it is locked up

Hmmm, well you can reinstall but you will lose your logs. If you need to save the logs, one sure way to do it is to use a usb to ide adapter and a Linux box for ext3 support and slave the drive in and copy /var/log and copy it back later. Once you have an installation in an unbootable state, I can think of no other wayoff the top of my head.

If you ever decide to use one of our Compact Flash images, you will need to forward to a syslog server if you plan on keeping logs forever.

On a CF install you fetch the contents of /var/log_compressed. That should give you the logs and the RRDs.
