So far this isn't even available for anything newer than 1.4.18 but any non bzipped or gzipped kernel image would be ignored by the Cobalt boot rom anyway and your existing Cobalt kernel image would boot the same as it does now. This was one of the reasons why I gave it a -cobalt extraversion so the the lib/modules/2.4.36-cobalt would not be overwritten by anything anyone could try. I hadn't looked into what actually is needed to create this kernel.

The only thing keeping me from using my Raqcop in a production environment is lack of QOS.

If it would be possible to figure out how to make it work that would be stellar!  I don't need that particular package nor am I am linux guru by any means.  I just need to do some QOS on a voip setup.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

*thumbsup*

this would be fine for mine too Cheesy

I'm looking for a well maintained layer7 addon for raqcop / IPCop since the current maintainer (mh) seems to be uninterested in IPCop v1.4.21 (or actual versions in general).
Grin I like to give some preventive love to these donkeys (and slowing them down to zero).
By the way, is there any chance to put the skype protocoll away from working? As far as I know, they use some kind of encryption in protocol over port 80 and layer7 may not detect or analyze that...

From what it sounds like, this type of filtering may be moving out of the kernel. I know that this has been discussed by Olaf and Gilles a few times whether or not to include this in the IPCop kernel since every update provides an opportunity. It seems like voip priority is what many people's motivation is here to go this far. Supposedly, there is a way to specify port ranges in the built in QOS of IPCop rather than a bazillion individual ports.
