The addons should work no problem as most are not affected by the extra cobalt drivers in the kernel and even ones that do supply kernel modules should work anyway as long as it's the same kernel. The raid may be possible as well if IPCop itself supports it. We don't have our network installer setup yet but making two virtual disks in vmware and writing each one to the respective disks in the proper order, ie virtual disk one to ide0 and so forth. With the Qube 3, I know that this will run one one disk.

I currently have the same model of a Qube here and am working on installing RaqCop on it.

I feel the easiest way to do this is remove BOTH 40 GB drives, install RaqCop on 1 drive and install the one drive back into the Qube.  Not only will it be more power efficient and the power supply will thank you, but there really is no point on having RAID1 on a firewall anyhoot.

I will let you know if this works on a Qube 3 shortly.

I am in process of installing.  I do know that StrongBolt works once you flash the Rom to the 2.10.3 ext3 1M.

That being said, be in the OEM OS, download flashtool and the ROM and flash it before doing anything!  From there your options are endless.

DavesWorld,  We got problems with loading Raqcop on a Qube3.  The NIC's are different and need some attention on the next build.  Thanks!  See output below.  Everything is the same but the Ethernet controllers.

PCI Devices 00:03.0 Non-VGA unclassified device: ALi Corporation M7101 Power Management Controller [PMU]
00:0e.0 SCSI storage controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic 53c875
00:0f.0 IDE interface: ALi Corporation M5229 IDE
00:10.0 Ethernet controller: National Semiconductor Corporation DP83815 Ethernet Controller
00:12.0 Ethernet controller: National Semiconductor Corporation DP83815 Ethernet Controller

IDE Devices hda: ST340810A (Capacity: 37.27 GB)

Hook up the nullmodem cable and issue # nano /var/ipcop/ethernet/settings and change the driver to natsemi and restart the network.

Dave,

That worked like a charm.

We can put Cobalt Qube 3's on our list of supported devices (as if we did not know this already).

I was a bit suprized about the NIC's being different than the Raq counterparts however.

Again on Cobalt Qube 3 devices, it appears they need the natsemi driver rather than the intel eepro... and thanks for that quick call Dave!

No problem at all! The XTR devices also use the natsemi driver but they are huge and too noisy for what we are using Raqs and Qubes for. Funny that National Semiconductor calls this chip MacPHYTER, serious play on words here.
