I'm the same Dave who patches and compiles raqcop.

I cooked up a todays build from cvs. Gilles had just put a tcp patch in place yesterday. On our end, the lcd also lets you know that it is shutting down and lists processes such as unmounting and killing processes. It also will let you know when it is time to turn off the raq, if rebooting, it will tell you it's rebooting. Also, the lcd on the Raq550 works fine now. I did this by going back to Bob Fisch's last lcd script, no debugging code in it.

I'm making separate images for the e100 nic chipped raq3/4 and the natsemi chipped Qube3/Raq550 so they will allow network access out of the box. Also, for sanity sake, I only renamed the gz files themselves so the image inside is still 512flash.img etc. The raq4 images work on raq3 and 4 as well as Velociraptor 500 through 1100 units. The Qube3 images wil be up shortly and they will work on the Qube3 and 550 since both share the same natsemi nic. The only difference at all is the /var/ipcop/ethernet/settings for the driver entries. All images will work on all units ultimately except the XTR which makes a much better server than firewall anyway.

Of course, the usual disclaimer applies here since this is NOT a stable IPCop release, use at your own risk.

They are in the downloads extra 1.4.22cvs folder.

Almost forgot to mention, the gui theme that Brian made for us to tide us over until IPCop 2.0 comes out, is standard in 1.4.22 here so far. It won't break your addons either.

Tom's (Wintermute) Sysinfo 2.4.8 is already built in. Since the Intel 8255x chips and e100 driver does not support mii, Tom's addition of ethtool works nicely in his sysinfo addon. I had talked to Brian about maybe expanding the sysinfo.cgi to use Cobalt processes that are only available by command line such as cpu temp, serial number, systype, raminfo (tells what you have in each bank) and hostid. The latter is not very interesting. The commands on any Cobalt system are:

cat /proc/cobalt/sensors/thermal
cat /proc/cobalt/systype
cat /proc/cobalt/raminfo
cat /proc/cobalt/serialnumber
cat /proc/cobalt/hostinfo

Since I do compile support for both 3000 series Cobalt's and the Raq550 of the 5000 series in one kernel and have tested it on a 550, There is one little difference.

cat /proc/cobalt/sensors/thermal does not currently work on a 5000 series but another feature that DOES work on a 5000 series and does NOT exist on the 3000 series is:

cat /proc/cobalt/sensors/voltage

2.6 kernel rom development is all but finished and as far as thermal monitoring on the 5000 series, this has been the case forever with the Cobalt drivers. It also may be that there are other more conventional avenues for thermal monitoring in a 5000 series. Server works chipset and Intel Pentium 3 is what makes them tick.
